I hope you and your whaanau are keeping safe and well. Hopefully hear back from you soon. Ka kite anoo.
Kia ora e te whaanau! Ko Azaleigha tooku ingoa, I am a kotiro that attends Taamaki Primary School. I am 10 years old and I am in a Reo - Rua akomanga. We speak two languages and that is Te Reo Maaori and Te Reo Paakeha. We all enjoy the Maaori games we play. Such as Ki-o-rahi, Pako (we haven't played this in a long time), Pukana and etc. We also do our Pangaarau in Maaori and it is way easier then Paakeha Pangaarau because I got use to it and I barely understood. Anyways we are a mixed akomanga of year 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, 6's, 7's and year 8's. Now here are some facts about our akomanga Te Puna Wairua.... 1. We're a very loud akomanga 2. We love to listen to and watch kapa haka. 3. We enjoy listening to Maaori music while doing our mahi. 4. We are the biggest akomanga in the whole kura 5. We love to awhi others when they are upset 6. We also like to play this game and its called Bull Rush We have toru kaiako and there names are Whaea Lee-Ann, Matua Punehu, Matua Andre. They also have a wonderful helper that is also my maamaa, my brother also attends my kura and is in the same akomanga as me. Anyways her name is Whaea Mara she is a wonderful helper because she is very helpful when the kaiako are stressed, that's all the facts you would need to know about Te Puna Wairua. Now I have waru patai for you guys!
Kotahi Patai: Do you have 1 kaiako or more?

Furthermore she is also a year 2 but I'm a year 6. We both enjoy playing cool activities especially Maaori ones. We both have toru pouako (Matua Andre, Matua Punehu me Whaea lee - ann), My Kaiako ma have a helper A.K.A my mama. We are a bilingual unit in a pakeha school.
My cultures are Croatian, Maaori, Cook island, Chinese and Scottish.
I am first incharge of being kaitataki and also being head girl of Te Puna Wairua (TPW).
At times it can be hard but I really love it because it can be the best not just because I like to boss them around its only because its nice to encourage them.
We have a kapa haka roopu (as you already know) and our kaiako is Matua Andre. We all enjoy kapa haka and we also do Pangarau in Maaori. Most of us can be confused at times but then it can be easy. We also do tuakana teina when the teina need help (but sometimes the teina help us tuakana). Whaea lee - ann has all the year 6's, 7's and 8's. But for matua Punehu he has all the year 2's, 3's, 4's me 5's.
